How to Apply Contacts

How To Put in Contact Lens

Step 1: BEFORE YOU START

GENTLY remove the lens from the packet. You MUST soak your new lens in the FRESH contact solution for at least 8 hours before first-time use.

Wash your hands with soap (preferably non-perfumed, antibacterial liquid soap), then rinse thoroughly and dry your hands with a lint-free towel

Step 2: Inspect Your Contact Lens

In order to do this, GENTLY place the lens on the tip of your finger and hold it up to the light. If the edges flare out, the lens is inside out. It should look like a bowl with straight edges.

Step 3: Putting Your Lens In Your Eye

Gently hold your upper eyelid with one finger so you do not blink and carefully pull down your lower eyelid with your middle finger on the other hand.

Put the lens toward your eye steadily with your index finger and look upward or forward as you place it on your eyes.

Step 4: Move Your Contact Lens

Slowly release your eyelid and close your eye for a moment to allow the lens to settle.

Repeat for the other eye.

Check in the mirror to ensure both the contact lenses are placed well.
